OUr Story

We are dedicated to helping those who serve and their families. We understand the unique stressors that the military lifestyle presents and we are here to help you through those challenges. All Tricare members are welcome, whether they are active duty, retirees, reservists or dependents.
Understanding military families
Military families proudly serve our country but that comes with big sacrifices. Military lifestyle can be stressful. Frequent moves, deployments, PCS and transitions are challenging for all family members. By the time one starts growing roots and is feeling comfortable in a place, it's time to pack up and move again. New climate, new city or new country, new rules, new neighborhood, new house, new schools, new doctors, new friends, new routines .... It can be grueling.
Not only is this tiring and exhausting in its own right, but it can lead to underemployment or unemployment, financial strain, difficult adjustment to a new place, loneliness, lack of support network etc. All of these stressors can give rise to conditions such as anxiety, depression and many others that can interfere with everyday life for adults and children alike, and can have long term consequences if left untreated.
Children can be particularly susceptive to these changes, especially during time of parent deployment. The added stress and anxiety can display in both physical and emotional ways. Anger outbursts, difficulty making friends, withdrawal from play and other fun activities, recurring stomach or other physical discomfort, changes in sleep pattern, nightmares etc. All of these symptoms might be worth checking and evaluating.
Furthermore, active duty members can often suffer from combat related disorders such combat stress, PTSD, TBI, MDD etc . Therapy services can be helpful in dealing with these conditions that can be otherwise debilitating and negatively impacting your life.
There are nearly three million military family members in the US who need support navigating these stressors and challenges, and we are here to help the military community of all ages.
